OUR MEMBERS

The objective of the Australian Funeral Directors Association (AFDA) is to promote professional funeral standards, provide industry leadership and to negotiate with key industry stakeholders on Members’ behalf. The AFDA is committed to ensuring Members meet best professional practice standards, ensuring that the AFDA name and trademark represents security, care and professional service to potential customers. AFDA Members are bound by a strict Code of Ethics and Code of Professional Conduct designed to meet community needs and expectations in all aspects of service delivery.

Benefits of AFDA Full Membership

Prospective Full Member firms must comply with required standards for premises, equipment and vehicles (PEV) before AFDA membership is granted and commit to undertake a minimum number of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours each year to promote and improve professional funeral standards.

Benefits of AFDA Associate,
Special Associate & International Associate Membership

AFDA Associate Members are individuals who are employed by Member firms, usually in senior management. AFDA Special Associate Members are individuals who are funeral directors aged 55 years or older. AFDA International Associate Members are funeral directors in countries outside of Australia. As an AFDA Associate, Special Associate and International Associate Member you will receive the following benefits:
